I have looked at changed the shape of the ‘D’ so that it looks more in a recognisable shape of a spade on a vertical orientation. I feel this is working a lot more than the horizontal orientation with the spade shape using the shape of the ‘u’ as the basis of the spade shape. The image of the spade is too blocky. Its very solid I will look at ways to make it less solid whether this means making it more symbolic.
