I gathered a lot of imagery I like an in illustrator started to mock up very quick layouts of how I wanted it to look.  On doing this I started to develop some really good ideas, look layouts.  These are some of those initial ideas and thoughts:

I then started to go back to my original ideas, from the experimentations here’s is some of the ideas I have came up with:

I think these are really started to work.  I think need a bit more development with layout etc.

I started to build up my editorial piece.  But initially it wasn’t working and I started to question whether I just consider a different style.  This is my first attempt:

For my DPS I wanted it to be based around a cookbook.  I started by gathering a background paper texture so that it would give the look of an old bero cookbook like the one my mother has.

For my advert I have thought about design layout etc from my research I have came up with some initial ideas, which I’m going to develop some further on to the Mac

Here are my Mac developed advert ideas.  I have tried to think about how I can make it look like ad editorial piece but in the same sense look like an advert.  I wanted to have some type on the design so I gathered a range of poetry based around the theme of fruit and vegetables.  I gathered a range of imagery, and using these started to think about style layout etc.

Five - A- Day Brief - 3rd Outcome

For 3^rd out come, the design will be quite simple, as it’s the concept, which is the main focus.  I have bought some plain duffle bags, and had my book logo printed on to them.  I have also bought some felt and cut out the shapes of the fruit and vegetables I the adjacent colours.  The main element will be in the book, for the children to take with them to gather ingredients and put them back once they are done with them so they can be reused again and again.

Five - A- Day Brief - Editorial DPS

For my editorial piece, I want the article to relate to my book and 3^rd outcome. I want the article to focus on interaction with parent and children and fun ways for them to eat five a day.  I want my editorial piece to look almost like an old cookery book.  My mum has lots of old bero cookbooks, and I like this would tie in really well with my theme. I have taken images from the cookbooks, and gathered different backgrounds I can use from my dps. For my body copy and have gathered for inspiration different articles reading around the subject I am looking at, but will look to write some of this myself.
