Postage Stamp Brief
We have been given a mini two day project to create a postage stamp around an religious or seasonal festival or event. My initial thoughts was xmas, with all the snow i was thinking of making a simple postage stamp using photography. It thought this would be fun but on looking in to other religious event i decided to focus on The Chinese Lantern Festival. The Chinese Lantern Festival reflects the first full moon of the year ad as-well as the end of chinese new year. Lanterns are constructed using multicolored paper excluding white as this represent morning. I though this would be visual interesting and colorful.

Five - A- Day Brief - 3rd Outcome
I have started to create a mock up felt page for the back of my book and create examples of the felt fruit pieces that would be in the back of the book.
I have started by creating the stencils of the fruit shapes which i will draw on the felt with before cutting the shapes out. i would then look to add other pieces of coloured felt to create the detailing of the fruit. I have capture all the fun in the following photographs:
Five - A- Day Brief - 3rd Outcome
For my 3rd Outcome I'm looking to make it very fun for myself but also the children and the whole experience of fruit and vegetables. I have ordered lots of bright coloured felt sheets!
I plan to mock the back of my book which is felt pages which have pre cut vegetable shapes.
The idea of the pre cut vegetables shapes is for the children to pick the ingredient they needs to produce a recipe. The children would then place then in the duffle bag, and take that with them to the supermarket where they we look for the ingredients they need. The vegetables can then be replaced within the book or stored in the duffle back until they are used again.
