Creative & Unique Poster Design

I found this poster while ding some initial research.  I though it was very clever. Its something i would never have thought about doing.  Poster generally on simplistic, the us type to relay a message to the audience.  In this poster the type is used heavily, in the style of body copy for an editorial piece.  The type creates imagery, with the use of colour and paragraph style.  It was created by artist by Klas Ernflo.

Poster Design Inspiration

I really like this poster, its simple eye catching and very technical.  It was design by Colorcubic.

A LITTLE ABOUT COLORCUBIC

Founded in 2007, Colorcubic is the multidisciplinary creative studio of Michael John & Christy Lai in Portland, Oregon. We spend most of our hands-on time making and curating things we love for both client and studio projects. In addition to the usual studio happenings, we run two subsidiaries: The Color Bureau, our online shop (launching very soon), and an audio/visual record label called Nueva Forma.

We are visual communicators, problem solvers, information architects and purveyors of usable aesthetics. We believe in the harmony of form and function, and our philosophy is that they must coexist for innovation to reign.

We're also very proactive about environmental and social awareness, and we expect the same from our clients.

On a more technical side:

Our studio is equipped to handle everything from web design & development, branding, print design to motion graphics.

Brandon Schaeter - Back to The Future Poster Redesign

I came across this poster while researching.  I think this poster is very fitting to the subject matter in the whole concept, design, style and format.  The Poster is based in the stye of an info-graphic, which links together both the imagery and type.  The poster has a very simple colour palette, which a burst of colour which draws you in to the design.  The designer has created lots of other redesigns of other popular films.  Brandon Schaeter uses a lot of layering within his designs which gives the posters depth and texture, to a simple eye catching design.  This is one of two of his design designs that i like.

Poster Design Inspiration!!!

For our first brief we were given the task of producing a poster to promote an entertainment event.  Initial research is looking for inspiration form other poster design. The main research is to look at the style of the poster, what has grab the attention of me the audience, and why it works.  Look in to the designer and other work they have produced, does it follow a particular style, media or format. How does the design come together, imagery, illustration, typography.  Not only that but we need to gather inspiration which will flow in to our own designs.
